Welcome to “Who Is Numeric Citizen” landing page. Welcome to my personal landing page, a place to learn more about me and my creative journey.
🌟
My real name is JF Martin, but I prefer to be called "Numeric Citizen" here on the Internet. Think of Numeric Citizen as my content creator name or my pen name (see why I'm using this name.)
🌟
Am I a content creator? This expression is so often used by bloggers. I prefer to think of myself as a contributor. I avoid the term "content" because it suggests merely filling a space. "Contributor" better reflects my goal of sharing something meaningful and making a small dent in the digital world.

I have been an IT (Information Technologies) professional since the early nineties (→ Celebrating 30 Years in IT). I'm 57; I'm probably getting old, I know. As an IT pro, I think → I have ten more years left. I’m starting a new job for a big Canadian bank, which could be my last job. I have a few hobbies going from writing, exploring digital tools like digital photography, software and electronic music. Writing and digital photography takes up much of my spare time. I spend about twenty hours a week writing and publishing (which I fully documented here). Why, you might ask? Find out why → “I read, I learn, I write, I share.”
🌟
I've always been fascinated and passionate about digital tools like the computer, the smartphone and electronic music. Using software brings those devices to life and is what I enjoy the most. We live in exciting albeit challenging times. I’m an Apple fan since 1982 and owned a lot of Apple gear as documented here (warining, big rabbit hole). I used to be an indie iPhone apps developer between 2009 and 2013. I published my apps under the TinySofty Apps branding. I wasn’t very successful but I maned to make about 5K$!

Please, do explore the other pages on this website to learn more about me because someone said: “We can see who we are through what we create”. Oh and don’t miss my /nope page which was updated on 2025-07-17.
🌟
Because I openly share my complete content contributor toolset here and many of my worklfows there, plus a blog about blogging over here, I consider myself as an open blogger. And my website analytics are open to all, look for them here.

Lastly, I took part of the People & Blog series by Manuel Moreale. Read the written interview here to learn more about me.
