Who Is Numeric Citizen?

Welcome to my personal landing page, a place to learn more about me, my projects, my creative journey.

Welcome to โ€œWho Is Numeric Citizenโ€ landing page.

My real name is JF Martin, but I prefer to be called "Numeric Citizen" here on the Internet. Think of Numeric Citizen as my content creator name or my pen name (see why I'm using this name.)

I have been an IT (Information Technologies) professional since the early nineties (โ†’ Celebrating 30 Years in IT). I'm 57; I'm probably getting old, I know. As an IT pro, I think โ†’ I have ten more years left. I have a few hobbies going from writing, exploring digital tools like digital photography, software and electronic music. Writing and digital photography takes up much of my spare time. I spend about twenty hours a week writing and publishing (which I fully documented here). Why, you might ask? Find out why โ†’ โ€œI read, I learn, I write, I share.โ€

I've always been fascinated and passionate about digital tools like the computer, the smartphone and electronic music. Using software brings those devices to life and is what I enjoy the most. We live in exciting albeit challenging times. Iโ€™m an Apple fan since 1982 and owned a lot of Apple gear as documented here (warining, big rabbit hole).

Please, do explore the other pages to learn more about me because someone said: โ€œWe can see who we are through what we createโ€. I do have a /nope page.

Because I openly share my complete content contributor toolset here and many of my worklfows there, plus a blog about blogging over here, I consider myself as an open blogger. And my analytics are open to all, look for them here.

This website will eventually replace this one built using Craft. I decided to use a more flexible tool to create a website, as Craft failed to meet my flexibility requirements. This website is a work-in-progress; I expect to complete the project by the end of 2025. Expect the site design to constantly evolve as Iโ€™m getting acquainted with Realmac Software Elements features and power. I expect the official launch sometime this summer.

This is who I am. On the first image, youโ€™ll find this avatar on all my websites and profile pages. It is an animated GIF created from two images. A digital artist created this avatar from the original image. Sadly, I lost the reference to this artist. He did an wonderful job. On the second image, this is me, circa May, 2025, during a vacation in Italy. Thanks to my wife for trying my Nikon Z f camera!
