The following is a snapshot of completed projects.

☑️ Moving out of HEY Mail — Completed in early 2025

Because of conflicting values with one of the founder of HEY Mail (often referred to as “DHH”), I decide to move away from HEY Mail. It was a rather big undertaking but it was well worth it. I ended up using a similar service called “Fastmail”. I couldn’t be happier. The project has been documented in this blog post.

☑️ Migrate all my passwords from 1Password to Apple Passwords — Completed late 2024

Because all my Apple devices could run the latest version of their respective operating system, I decided to to drop 1Password and move to Apple’s password management solution, called “Passwords”. I published a blog post about this.

☑️ Moving Out of Smugmug — Started in 2022 and completed in 2024

Migrate my best content from my Smugmug account to my Glass account, and Pixelfed account. I want to focus on more open photo-sharing services and those two services provide that.

☑️ Restructuring My Reading Workflow - Completed in May 2023

My reading workflow has been in need for a complete rework. I’ve been thinking about it for close to a year now. I want to put an end to this and I think I have found my way. The project goal is to let me decide, once and for all, the right tool to cover 90% of my reading habits. As I shared in this article, Inoreader is central to my reading workflow.

☑️ Moving Out of WordPress — Completed in 2023

This project was about migrating the published content of my numericcitizen.me blog to a lighter, easier-to-maintain hosting solution. Ghost has been selected for this purpose as I explained here.

☑️ Building an Analytics Widget — Completed in 2023

This is the most recent addition to my 2023 projects list. It came up on a Saturday morning while drinking my coffee. Using tools like Apple’s Shortcuts and Plausible’s APIs, I will build widgets to display visitors analytics on my iPhone and iPad home screen, to replace an old app I used to have on my iPhone which was using Google Analytics at that time. As explained in this article, the project turned an unexpected turn and proved to me quite successful.

☑️ Moving Out of Adobe Photography — Completed in 2024

I left Adobe behind because I felt I was paying too much for something that I didn’t take advantage of.
